Ep. 29 Jose Macall – Relaxation
It’s been a minute. In the time since you last heard our sweet screeching shrill, we were kicked out of Sexpot Studios* and have rebounded into our new home. We are proud to be recording and working with the good folks at Mutiny Info Cafe at 2 S. Broadway in Denver, CO. Jim (owner) is a delight and, in addition to just becoming a father (again), has just surpassed his six-year mark in this location! He is an amazing business owner and a huge support in the Denver arts community. Come on down sometime and pick up a comic book or record or book or coffee or hang out and play some pinball or chess. Mutiny has it all and is one of Denver’s genuine hangs. We are really excited about this partnership! Also, a huge shout out to Cory for setting us up and helping us produce the show! He’s great!!!
Schooling Noah is a podcast where a couple of dolts like youngin’ Noah Reynolds and oldin’ Aaron Maslow talk to experts to try and learn a thing or two about the world. Does it work? Of course it works. It’s not a Texan. Anyway, Aaron and Noah and their audience are getting smarter every episode!
This week features Denver’s own aficionado and expert in all things Chill, Jose Macall. He is here to teach us that relaxation is all in your state of mind. He
runs moseys through a solid list of things to avoid and of things to do to achieve maximum relaxation. Jose is so relaxed, it nearly puts Noah to sleep.
But fear not, this episode is jam packed full of fun! In addition to our standard format of pissing on Noah, we have added a couple of new segments. The first is a segment where we call bar owners in and around town and ask what they think about Noah. It’s called Lowering the Bar. The second segment is a sketch. Live and on radio! The sketch, Meanie Town Hall Meeting, was written by Aaron and performed by Noah, Jose, Ben Bryant and Aaron. It is a real gas. So stay tuned for that.
Other topics we cover in this episode include: Podcasts JD Lopez hates (including this one) and Ben‘s Page 69 podast; James Bond’s new femme fatale, Annette Hammock; Breathing and escaping fire; Drugs; What people think; Boredom; and yelling for your soul.
We are so glad to back. Thank you for checking us out. Check out Jose on Mutiny or at the Southwest Cheif Bicycle & Comedy Festival coming this May!
